Sterling silver 925
I use mainly re-cycled sterling silver as I like the idea of going a bit ethical...
Quality is guaranteed with 925 stamp on findings.
In terms of hallmarking, silver below 7.78g is exempt from hallmarking act. My finished pieces are all below the weight, therefore I don’t have them hallmarked at the moment. However I get my silver findings from trusted suppliers with their quality stamp of sterling silver “925”.
I am considering to get my pieces hallmarked in the near future though.
I am fascinated with the beauty of stones that are made naturally.
I am always looking for unique, one of a kind stones.
Each stone has unique shade of colours, pattern, and shape,
and I enjoy using that inconsistency in my work.
I find how a piece of sea glass wonders in the water for years romantic.
I love and admire the idea of turning broken glass into beautiful beads.
Ntaka beads I use are made from powdered glass in Gahna, Africa.
